Judicial review of Waterloo office block confirmed after call-in failure

A High Court judge has allowed an application by Westminster City Council and English Heritage for a judicial review of Communities Secretary Eric Pickles’ decision not to call in proposals for the £800m redevelopment of Elizabeth House near London’s Waterloo Station approved by Lambeth Council.

Critics claim the scheme, which includes a 29-storey tower, will have an adverse impact on the Palace of Westminster World Heritage Site.
